Hugh Marr FPGA
Hugh Marr is one of the UK’s leading coaches of elite players and director of Premium Golf Consulting, a company specialising in elite player development.
Hugh works with a number of European and Challenge tour professionals, including Ryder Cup player Oliver Wilson, as well as many of the country’s leading amateur players. His roles also include Head Coach to Surrey Golf Union (2007, 2008 & 2009 National Boys Champions) and involvement in the English Golf Union’s national coaching programmes. He was also responsible for writing the technical and tactical elements of the Club & Coach Programme for the England Golf Partnership. In addition Hugh is a regular contributor to Golf World magazine.
The individuals and teams that Hugh works with have consistently proven themselves to be winners at National and International level. His work with tournament players gives him a unique perspective on combining the various elements required to continually develop a player whilst at the same time recognising the need to nurture the player’s natural flair. His multi-disciplinary coaching philosophy encourages the practical application of all areas of skill development including strength and conditioning, the mind game, biomechanics, equipment technology and nutrition.
In recognition of his achievements as a coach, Hugh has been awarded Fellowship of the Professional Golfers Association
